Paragon reaches 50 year milestone on back of ‘constant evolution and innovation’

Paragon Toolmaking has celebrated the major milestone of reaching 50 years in business.

Over the past five decades the company has grown from a small company dealing with mainly local businesses to supplying bespoke tooling solutions to many of the world’s leading manufacturers and first-tier suppliers.

The business has emerged through a number of recessions and market downturns to become an established leader in its field, bringing it to this year’s milestone achievement of five decades of trading.

General Manager Kevin Batty said: “When the business was established by Carl Canty in Hull back in 1969 it was done so to create a company which was a real engineering specialist, and that focus remains today.

“Of course, the company is much changed and much more sophisticated in the technology used, but the values of providing first-class customer service have remained. You have to be able to deliver an excellent service and product to last 50 years.

“What has always been key at Paragon Toolmaking has been the dedication and skill of our team, as many of our employees have been trained in-house through our own apprenticeship scheme and stayed with the company, some for more than 20 years.

“It has been their skill and dedication which has ensured the continuing success of the business, and that we have not only reached our 50th birthday, but that we have done so in the position as a business which is renowned for its expertise and is now chosen by many world-leading manufacturers and suppliers.”
