CAM (computer aided manufacture) is now a vital and integral part of all our manufacturing process at Paragon. The CAM data produced from our CAD design process is of the highest integrity. It is utilised to provide an uninterrupted output to all our CNC machine tools. Our skilled CNC machinists carry out all CAM programming via dedicated consoles. Working from the same 3D models created by the designers, speeds, feeds and cutter paths are calculated. The machine tool program is then sent to the machine directly over a high speed ethernet link, job setting procedures follow and the machine is good to go.

The largest of our CNC milling centres has a huge machining envelope of 3.4m x 2.5m x 800mm. Along with two other gantry machines we are able to cope with very large die sets and plates. A range of four smaller high speed Mikron milling centres provide capacity for full 3D profiling and smaller part production. We constantly monitor and utilise the latest developments in cutting tool technology, ensuring we are able to achieve the fastest metal removal rates and exact levels of accuracy.

Completing our CNC inventory we also employ CNC Turning and EDM machinery. Through continually investing in the latest machinery and training highly skilled operators we are able to offer our customers the many advantages of using a toolmaker which is proud to operate one of most modern and well equipped toolrooms in the United Kingdom.
